Act 5:42 And daily in the temple, and in every house, they ceased not to teach and preach Jesus Christ.
When you preach Jesus, you will never be wrong.
Grace elevates the person Jesus Christ.
Jesus came because of the Grace of God.
Human beings kept on breaking all the commandments and laws of God, but the Grace of God brought Jesus into our broken world.
When you preach man’s ways, man’s traditions, and man’s ways to please God, you are NOT preaching Jesus.
You are not preaching Grace, but man’s works.
Some may say, “Oh, you must preach the Gospel”.
Yes, we need to preach the Gospel, but the Gospel is a Person and His name is Jesus Christ.
The Gospel is not “do good”, “work good”, “dress good” or “be good”.
The Gospel is the Free Gift of a Person called Jesus Christ.
The Gospel is not a method or a formula.
It is a Person. And Jesus is the Free Gift from God.
We didn’t earn Jesus. We didn’t do good works to deserve Jesus.
In fact, we were enemies of God, and yet God gave us the Free Gift of Jesus.
God is the Initiator of this Free Gift.
We are the Recipient.
Joh 3:16 For God so loved the world that He gave (God initiates – He is the Giver) His only-begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
In the Old Testament, people had to bring gifts to God – to please Him, to satisfy Him, to win His favor and to receive blessings from Him.
In the Old Testament, Moses commanded the people to bring gifts to God.
It is a command.
In the New Testament, Jesus became the Free Gift of God.
Jesus alone pleased God, Jesus satisfied God, Jesus brought the Favor of God to us, and Jesus blessed us and healed us.
All these because of His Grace that saved us and continued to maintain us daily.
When Jesus met the Samaritan woman at the well, He introduced Himself as the Gift of God.
Joh 4:10 Jesus answered and said to her, If you knew the gift of God, and who it is that says to you, Give Me to drink, you would have asked of Him, and He would have given you living water.
Even before she repented of her sins, Jesus offered her the Free Gift.
Today, some may say that you need to walk holy before God or do spiritual things, then only Jesus is with you. This is not True.
And God doesn’t take back His Gift of Jesus from us, even when we fail at times.
We don’t lose our Salvation or God’s Favor, when we fail or sin.
God doesn’t take His Favor away from us.
Rom 11:29 For the free gifts and calling of God are without repentance.
God doesn’t regret giving us the Free Gift of Jesus.
He doesn’t change His mind about giving us this Free Gift.
We should never doubt God’s sincerity and God’s Grace.
You did not earn the Free Gift.
You did not work for the Free Gift.
And you cannot pay for the Free Gift.
It is actually an insult and a dishonor to God, to want to pay back the Free Gift of Jesus, by trying to do righteously before God. The action may be right, but the motive is wrong.
All we need to do is to believe in Jesus, and thank God for His Free Gift.
So Preach only Jesus. Preach Jesus as a Free Gift from God.
