The 1st Malaysian Astronaut is from my school St Paul's Institution Seremban

The Soyuz-FG rocket launcher blast off from the Baikonur Cosmodrome.

The is perhaps one of those posts where I can write with pride and to share that with readers.

Dr Sheikh Muszaphar Shukor’s childhood dream came true when he blasted off into space, but his hope, before leaving Earth, was that he would be just the first of many more Malaysian Angkasawan to come... The dashing cosmonaut hopes his “impossible dream”, will make young boys and girls believe they can reach for the stars.

At exactly 9.22pm (Malaysian time), the Soyuz -FG rocket launcher blasted off from the Baikonur Cosmodrome. Dr Sheikh Muszaphar will return on Oct 21.

Not everyone can aspire to be an astronaut. Even if you have the financial means and the technological advancement, it is a job for only a chosen field. Without a doubt, most Malaysians will be proud of this Anak Malaysia, who is carrying the Malaysian flag higher, when such a prestigious event will elevate the country's dignity.
Why am I proud of him? Because we came from the same school i.e. St Paul's Institution Seremban! From the flurry of emails that I received from dedicated Paulians, I believe the Alma Mater is also proud of his "son". We may not be the hero here but when a similar hero like him comes out from the same firebrand, we too share the same jubilation.

Don't you too all look for heroes in others?

Syabas to to Dr. Sheikh. Malaysia Boleh to you.
