Warrior for Christ

How do we finish the battle?
It is said that we are to fight the good fight of faith but how is this achieved?

Look at these training steps from 1 Timothy 6:11-14:

1. We are known by what we flee from.

“Flegei” means a fugitive who is continually fleeing. What are you fleeing from? To stay focused, we have to flee from what will destroy our lives and ministries.

2. We are known by what we follow after.

What and who are you following after? Who are your top five closest friends? We are to practice principles, build on a foundation of faith and stoke a red-hot passion to pursue the Person of Christ and His promises.

3. We are known by what we fight for.

We are engaged in war. We must have the courage of our convictions. What are you willing to fight for?

4. We are known by what we are faithful to.

We are charged in the presence of God to preach the Word in every season of life.

We are not fighting against flesh and blood. We are fighting against the world, the flesh, the devil, sin, heresy, error, apathy and lethargy in the Church. We are called to “keep the faith” and to keep the truth. We will not mind losing our life in this world if we have a firm grip on eternal life. We can give up some earthly things to fight the good fight of faith. Sin will never win and faith will never fail!
