The recent scandal to shock the teenage world is none other than the younger sister of Britney Spears i.e. Jamie Lynn Spears.

Jamie Lynn Spears is pregnant. She is only 16 years old.

Jamie Lynn Spears may not be the only one who is expecting. Casey Aldridge, the boyfriend Jamie Lynn says got her pregnant, could also be "expecting" — a visit from people wearing badges - the police.

In Malaysia, this uncalled-for-act would be described as statutory rape. She is a minor and supposed to be protected by the law. I believe that the US too would have such laws to protect minors especially a 16 year old girl, who is hardly out of school!

Putting rape aside, I firmly believe that 16 is too young to be having sex!

Sex is a responsible act between two mature adults that can share emotional and supportive feelings - it is not a frivolous spur of the moment decision.

Some people would blame it on the mother. Her daughter is pregnant at the age of 16 so it must be her fault. Plus Britney is out of control so that shows a pattern of non-parental guidance.

No wonder the Bible teaches us to train our child when they are young, so that when they grow older, they will not depart from the instruction (Proverbs 22:6).

Please teach your kids before it is too late.
